Until I see video evidence of someone proving that aim assist on console is weaker than PC I just simply won't believe that claim. In real life gameplay though you still depend on movement and positioning just as much as you do on raw aim to perform well, so that's still not conclusive at all to the strengths and weaknesses of either input method. Just about everything else felt fairly consistent regardless of input. Sniping is considerably stronger on a mouse and the plasma carbine is considerably stronger on a controller. In some testing I did swapping between controller and mouse in the academy there are definitely certain weapons that perform better depending on input, but that's about it. I have friends on PC who perform terribly, I have friends on console who perform well and nobody I've played with regardless of system or input method performed so exceptionally well or poorly as to raise any suspicion one way or the other. Cross-play is just the new most readily available cop out excuse for players, regardless of platform, to say it's the video games fault and not theirs when they die. The reality is, neither is correct and people will blame anything but themselves for their poor performance in a game. Many console players on controller insist that M/KB and higher framerates are broken and give PC players an unfair advantage. Many PC players insist that controller aim assist is broken and gives players using a controller an unfair advantage.
